Todd pulled out the clippers and decided to give Uriah his first haircut on Saturday! Oh what fun, I collected a lock for his baby book! It's so thin and fine, just like mine. Here's a 'before' shot with his long whispy hair over his ears and down his neck.

10 months
Uriah is 10 months old today! He got his first tooth this week and his first haircut! (more to come on that) He isn't crawling yet, but he tries when he feels like it. He is content and chill wherever you plop him down, but his favorite is the johnny-jump-up! He is doing a lot better with pureed foods, sometimes he will eat them and sometimes he won't, whatever...I know he will eat them when he gets hungry enough. He's doing just fine on mommy's milk, obviously!
Such a happy and sweet baby boy!
Learning by touch with his book! He loves books!

My Project
A 5x7 cross-stitch project that took me about a month to complete. Aren't you proud mom?! I just love the blonde spikey hair, just like Uriah's! I plan to do one for each kiddo in the future. Now I need to get it matted and framed.

A Boy and His Dog
I just know Uriah and River are going to be best buddies! Uriah just lights up when he sees River or even just hears his nails on the hardwood or his footsteps when he comes upstairs! River loves to lick Uriah and get treats from Uriah.

Uriah is thinking about sharing his teething buscuit; he does but Uriah, of course, doesn't get it back :) And he's okay with that!
I hope Uriah will have many, many years and wonderful memories with River (just like Todd and I already have). He seriously is the best dog I have ever met! And the best looking too!

Yummy!
So I mentioned before that I have had some frustration with Uriah as far as eating is concerned. I waited until he was 6 months old to give him anything other than milk, and then I was so ready for him to be interested in other things, but he wasn't! I tried so hard starting in November to spoon feed him, and he just absolutely refused! I felt like I was force feeding him; I got enough sweet potato, apple, pear, and carrot down to know he was okay with them, but we were both miserable trying. And then when he got a little older I tried teething buscuits, puffs, or cherrios but he doesn't put anything in his mouth...nothing! On Christmas day, he opened his mouth for a few bites of rice cereal; I was so excited thinking we had a breakthough...nope, he was just being nice for the holiday, I guess :) So I have been trying it a little here and there, but I stopped trying so hard. I figured he will let me know when he is ready.

Snow on the beach
So it snowed here on Tuesday. It was so cold, I didn't even go outside all day! It was icy snow, not the fun kind that you can get out and make snowmen or anything. I did go out on the deck and write Uriah's name in the snow and take a pic :) But he stayed nice and warm inside! Here's a view from our deck; I think it's cool to see snow and the ocean in the same shot.
