A trip we will never forget
:) ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** We just returned from our visit to Texas on Saturday after 2 weeks of meeting new friends and lots of family too! Uriah did great on the planes, and he was a real trooper when things got rough (flights delayed and cancelled). We just about spent the night in the Houston airport, and we got home a day late with no luggage...that's another story. Anyway, we had a great time! Made lots of memories we will always have!

Super excited!
Oh my, the time has already come...we are flying to Texas tomorrow!! I can hardly wait any longer! I know our time there will go by so fast, but we are going to cram in as much time with family and friends as we can. This will be Uriah's first airplane ride :) I have been praying for safety and for Uriah to be flexible and go with the flow (he's not one to sleep in my arms anyone). I am sure all will be okay. We are flying into San Antonio and spending the night with the Meier's and then driving to Bmt area on Saturday to see friends for a few days and go to COTR (I want to see you ALL, I hope it works out), then driving back to the Meier's to celebrate Easter and relax in the Fredericksburg hill country. Oh I can't wait!!! Hope to see you soon! Uriah can't wait to meet you all!!

1. My middle name is Gail.
2. I have an awesome sister, Elissa, and brother, Lance.
3. People used to think my sister and I were twin boys when we were very young. (Thanks mom for the 'dude do's') ha
4. I have been married for 4 1/2 years.
5. I graduated 5 of three hundred something from high school.
6. I have completed 2 half marathons and one full marathon.
7. I live one hour away from the nearest Target.
8. My favorite chapter in the Bible is Psalm 91.
9. I work part-time as an RN. (I enjoy it too)
10. I live on the ocean.
11. My favorite season of the year is autumn.
12. I enjoy eating out, but we rarely do.
13. I have a son , Uriah, who will be ONE on April 22.
14. I am looking forward to seeing my family in Texas next month (seriously, can't wait!!!)
15. I own a motorcycle.
16. I learned to surf 2 years ago and am really looking forward to getting out there this summer.
17. I have a friend, Jenn, and people get us confused all the time. We could be sisters :)
18. I am 7 years younger than my husband.
19. I enjoy traveling.
20. I am left handed.
21. Todd and I confess scripture over our family and circumstances everyday.

23. I have been to 2 Beth Moore conferences with an amazing group of ladies: South Dakota (we also saw the Badlands and Mount Rushmore) and Rhode Island (we also went to Nantucet and whale watching). Hope to do another this year?!
24. I have visited Israel.
25. It's been way too long since I have seen my family in Texas. (9mo) I'm counting down the days.

Busy boy
When he's not sleeping, Uriah is a busy boy! He plays hard and loves to work things with his hands, especially book pages! Thank you Mimi for all the books you send; he really enjoys this monkey book and can press the sound button too! Just look at the determination on his face to figure it all out...such a 'Meier look' with that tongue out. HA!

Sleep
Uriah likes to sleep (just like his mom!). He sleeps 11-12 hrs at night and takes 2 long naps during the day, so he spends a lot of time in his crib, he loves his crib!
I like to go in and check on Uriah about 30 minutes after I lay him down just to make sure he is actually asleep and breathing and all that...you moms know. Anyway, this is what I always see and I thought I would share it with you! It's so cute! The blue giraffe has become his "lovie" (thanks Aunt Tricia) that he goes to sleep with and it goes over his face! He has other stuffed animals in the crib that he plays with, but this is the one picked by him to lay on top of his face when he sleeps. And his other hand is usually tucked under his body at the waist! Oh, how he makes me smile :)
