big news!

Uriah is walking!!! YEA! He thinks he is big stuff and is loving this new way to get from here to there. I picked him up from the babysitters Tues night after work and we were playing on the floor and he just decided to take some steps! And of course, we make such a big deal about it that he wants to keep walking. He is really well balanced and doesn't fall too much because, I think, he is a little older. He is 16 months tomorrow! We just love him soooooo much! I'll post some pics later, just wanted to tell everyone, yea!

another first

Fun day of firsts

Today was a good day! Uriah and I had fun hanging out and running errands this morning. After his nap, we packed up and went of hang out with our friend, Michelle who is dog sitting at a home in Grandy. They have 2 beautiful golden retrievers, a trampoline, and a salt water pool! Oh, it was so much fun; we had a blast!! And daddy came over on his way home from work to hang out too! Uriah had a good time swimming; it was my first time swimming in a pool with him. I dunked him a few times, but he didn't really enjoy that. He liked laying on the body-sized floatie and kicking his legs. After a really yummy dinner, Uriah learned what a trampoline is and how fun they are!! Came home just in time for bed....zzzzzz. Good night.

When we got home from Tennessee, Todd's family from Florida and Connecticut were at our house for a beach vacation! We had a great time and enjoyed their company for 2 weeks!

Cruisin'

On the Nolichucky River

A few weeks ago, we loaded up and drove to Erwin, TN, with 23 youth group kids, 7 adults, and 4 other young kiddos for a fun time on the river and an awesome time with the Lord! We all stayed in the same cabin right on the Nolichucky, and Uriah did very well staying in the same room with 2 other toddlers. It was interesting; I wasn't too sure what I had gotten myself into when we first got there, but after one night around the campfire with the kids, I was super excited to be there, and I am so glad we went! We cooked all our food over the fire, no frig, no microwave, no stove. We did have toilets and showers (with hot water) though, thankfully! We had 3 days of white water rafting, and Todd stayed back with Uriah on the second day so I could go. It was so much fun! And I went caveing too, all I have to say about that is...extreme and FUN!
